HOW WE PROTECT DATA

Our Six Commitments on Data Handling

Every commitment below reflects a specific practice we follow inside our systems — not a vague promise.

Cookie Control

We use cookies to keep your session active and remember your lobby preferences. A cookie banner on first visit lets you accept, reject or manage non-essential cookies, and you can change those choices any time via your browser settings.

Account Security

Your account is protected by password hashing, HTTPS-only access and optional two-factor authentication. We flag any login attempt from an unfamiliar device and email you immediately so you can confirm or dispute it.

Data Retention

Active account data is held for as long as your account remains open. After closure, we retain records only for the minimum period required under applicable Indian law, then delete or fully anonymise them on a rolling schedule.

Third-Party Access

We share data with payment processors — UPI networks, Paytm and PhonePe — solely to complete your transactions. These processors are contractually bound to use your data only for that purpose and must not retain it beyond settlement.

Your Right to Correct

If any personal detail we hold is inaccurate — a misspelled name, an old phone number — you can update most fields directly in Account Settings. For fields that require identity re-verification, contact us and we will process the correction within three working days.

Policy Change Notices

When we update this policy in a material way, we post a notice on the platform and email your registered address at least fourteen days before the change takes effect, giving you time to review the new terms before they apply.

Common Questions About Your Privacy on dadexch

The questions below cover the data rights and privacy practices we hear about most. If your question is not listed here, contact us through any of the channels in the Privacy Contact section above.

We collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and the payment identifiers you use — such as your UPI ID, Paytm mobile number or PhonePe linked account. We also log device and session data for security purposes.

No. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or any other commercial purpose. Data is shared only with payment processors who need it to complete your transactions.

Send a request to [email protected] from your registered email address. We will verify your identity and send a data export within seven working days. The export covers account details, transaction history and any communication logs.

Yes. Submit a deletion request through email or the Help Centre. We will close your account and delete personal data not required under applicable Indian law. Records tied to financial compliance obligations are retained for the legally required period, then removed.

Transaction records — including UPI reference numbers and Paytm or PhonePe IDs — are held for the minimum period required by applicable Indian financial regulations. After that window closes, records are deleted or fully anonymised on a scheduled basis.

You may raise a complaint directly with our privacy team at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate to the relevant data-protection authority under applicable Indian law.

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and optional analytics cookies to improve the platform. On your first visit you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can update your choices at any time in your browser privacy settings.
